Paul B. Halpern
President and CEO
For more than 35 years Paul Halpern has relished the challenge of coordinating the talents and skills of groups of people to work on large projects for the purpose of producing satisfying results for clients. A business owner in the private sector, he realized some time ago that he had a true knack not only for ascertaining the most favorable placement for each individual working on a project, but also for being able to oversee all facets of the project, no matter what its size. He brings to Medical Staffing Resource the kind of managerial, organizational, HR and customer-service skills that are at the heart of every business success story.

Carmella Pistone, RN, MA MS CRRNA
Chief Nursing Officer
Carmella Pistone enjoys an unsurpassed knowledge of nursing, rehabilitation nursing and hospital administrative procedures. She served for nine years as Head Nurse at New York University Medical Center Rusk Institute, overseeing both a 28-bed physical rehabilitation unit for stroke, spinal cord injury and neurological impairment injuries and a 35-bed unit for pediatric physical rehabilitation. For fifteen years she has served as the Director of Rehabilitation Nursing at a major metropolitan regional medical center, managing a 33-bed acute physical rehabilitation unit. Her responsibilities throughout her career have included not only the mastering of general and specialty nursing but also financial and labor management.  She brings to Medical Staffing Resource a unique ability to pilot the company's programs.

Joan B. Blust, RN MS
Clinical Liaison
Joan Blust holds a Masters degree in Health Service Administration and has over 45 years of professional experience in the industry. Various positions that she has held throughout her sweeping career include Administrator of Surgical Services, Administrative Leader to Director of Nursing, and Health Educator. Hospital environments throughout the state of NY and beyond have benefited from her extensive knowledge of nursing and administrative procedures. She has worked collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists and gastroenterologists and other medical professionals to achieve goals regarding patient care, nursing administration structures, business plans and hospital budgets. Joan offers Medical Staffing Resource innovation and leadership skills second to none.

Nancy C. Seddio, PhD, RNCS
Clinical Liaison
Professor Nancy Seddio holds advanced degrees in philosophy, psychology and nursing administration. Over the last 28 years she has worked as a psychotherapist in a private practice serving individuals, groups and families. Other career highlights include teaching, overseeing psychiatry and substance abuse in hospital settings, and both general and psychiatric nursing. She is the author of numerous articles which have appeared in both medical periodicals (including the American Journal of Nursing) and general interest publications. She brings to Medical Staffing Resource an unprecedented commitment to the ministrations of the human mind.

Sue Hall
Director of Recruitment
In her more than 15 years in the medical field, Sue Hall has combined her administrative knowledge with her networking expertise to successfully connect healthcare professionals with hospitals, long term care and home health facilities, per diem agencies, and travel nursing opportunities. A native of Montgomery, NY, Sue cut her match-making teeth in the music industry, working out of Denver (where she lived for 25 years) to book the likes of the Drifters, Coasters, Platters and Marvellettes. She returned to NY to join the Medical Staffing Resource team.

Dawn Elliott
Client Services Coordinator
Born and raised in Sullivan County, NY, Dawn Elliot worked for 20 years as the Head of the Sales Department at Elliotts Office Furniture. Her highly successful sales history-closing transactions between 90 and 95 percent of the time-arises from a true desire to help people find the solutions that work best for them. In addition to her sales savvy, Dawn, who worked for eight years as an interior decorator, is a space-planning and CAD-drawing expert. Now she brings her artistry in working with people (which she inherited from her dad) and aptitude for problem solving to Medical Staffing Resource.
